Q2: When you create a new document word
returns the error: 124 Unknown Command, Subroutine, or Function.
Answer: This occurs because word cannot find the
Case Manager template containing the macro required to perform the field merge. This
template is called caseman.dot and is usually copied to the Word 'Startup' directory when
Case Manager is installed. If you have changed your Startup directory from the default,
you will need to manually copy the caseman.dot file to this directory. To check which
directory Word is using as the Startup directory, start MS Word click Tools, Options, File
Locations then double click the Startup entry in the list. The file caseman.dot must be in
this directory.
Q3: When I try to create a word document from
any computer other than the server their are no templates available.
Answer: This will happen if you ran netsetup.exe
from Network Neighborhood instead of a network drive. To fix the problem, uninstall Case
Manager from the workstation then re-install it from a network drive.
Q4: Some of the templates that exist in the Case Manager installation folder do not appear in the selection list.
Answer: If you have the following symptoms:
"When creating a new MS Word document from Case Manager, some of the templates that exist in the Case Manager installation folder do not appear in the selection list. Shortly after a template is created or modified it does appear in the list, but it often disappears the next day."
Q5: When you create a new document word
returns the error: 1056 This is not a valid filename... and the document is not saved.
Answer: If you are running word 6.0 (or lower) on
windows 95 or NT you must DISABLE the use of long filenames (within Case Manager). Click
Tools, Options, Other and clear the check box.
The following issues only apply to the Multi User Edition
MU Q1: When Case Manager is started a logon dialog appears with a userid of SYSADM and Case Manager won't start.

Senario #2:

MU Q2: When Case Manager starts the following error occurs: "cannot find the language DDL (WL50??t.dl)".
This error normally occurs because you have installed the server component of Case Manager on the workstation and subsequently uninstalled it. The server installation creates an ODBC section in the registry that needs to be manually deleted as follows:
Click the Start button and chose Run.
Type regedit and press enter. This will start the Windows registry editor.
Locate the following registry key (by expanding the folders): HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBC.INI\CaseManager
Highlight this CaseManager folder and click the Edit, Delete menu.
Locate the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\Case Manager Database
Highlight this Case Manager Database folder and click the Edit, Delete menu.
Close the Registry Editor.
Run the NetSetup program in the Case Manager folder to recreate these registry entries. Case Manager should now function normally.
